February's not a great month for moths

Well so much for the jungle of Steeple Morden being swarming with moths. All I have managed to get so far is one Chestnut (yesterday) and a few Tortrix. How is Will managing to get so many? Is Potton a moth Mecca? Is my moth trap a dud? Are the plague of birds in my garden somehow getting into the trap and back out again? Well, they would have to be pretty cunning.

The first night

Let the games commence!  It was warm last night so the trap went out in Biggleswade.  This Chestnut was the only sucker that was still left in the morning (I'm sure there were loads fluttering round it when I wasn't looking).
